About Ibrahim Hostel
I-11/2, Islamabad – founded by an educator, run for students.
Professor Yahya spent 25 years teaching at IIUI and Abasyn. Every semester he saw the same problem: students could not find decent places to live near campus. Not just expensive – badly managed. Broken WiFi that took weeks to fix. Food that got boring after day two. Landlords who did not care if the AC died in June.
So in 2021, he opened a hostel. Not as an investment – as a teacher solving a problem he watched students struggle with for two decades. Five years later, we have housed hundreds of students from FAST, Bahria, Air University, NUST, and IIUI. 346+ Google reviews at 4.7 stars. Word of mouth brings in most of our residents.
“After five years in the hostel business, my goal has been simple – create a place where students can focus on their studies without worrying about where they live.”
What Makes This Place Different
Most hostels in I-11 are run by investors who own multiple properties. You are a number. Here, the owner lives nearby. If something breaks, it gets fixed within hours. If someone is being disruptive, management handles it immediately.
- Per-floor WiFi – separate connections per floor. Not one line shared across the whole building.
- Home-style mess – breakfast and dinner. Menu rotates so you do not eat the same thing every day.
- Rare load shedding in the area – covers the rooms, not just the lobby.
- Full-time guard + CCTV – active security, every shift.
- Transparent pricing – deposit is refundable. No surprise charges.
Who Stays Here
Mostly students from FAST, Bahria, Air University, and NUTECH. Some working professionals, some PhD candidates. The mix works – study groups form naturally, people look out for each other. Most find us through word of mouth. A friend stays here, tells another friend, and next semester they move in together.
Parents call us too. They search online for safe accommodation for their sons, find our Google reviews, and WhatsApp us before their child even arrives in Islamabad. The transparent pricing and visible security make that decision easier.
By the Numbers
The Founder
Professor Yahya
Professor Yahya still teaches. That is the main thing to understand about this place – it was started by someone who spends his days in the classroom, not someone looking for passive income. He knows what students need because he sees them every day.
